Product Testimonials:

Pittsburgh, PA We sampled a few last year and really liked how these anchors can be used on both sides of the roof (and not be on the ridge in the way). Another important factor is that they are smaller, which means you only have to screw through 2 shingles or remove less slate. We have decided to have 2 or 3 anchors on each truck because of how great they worked out.

I wanted to take a moment and share with you how pleased we are with the SLATOR. After meeting you and seeing the product, I did not hesitate to purchase them. We are very happy with the SLATORs. The entire company was introduced to the product and trained with all of the available instructional videos. The most common comment and a greatest complement was “Why didn’t I think of that!”, showing the genius, simplicity and appreciation for the SLATOR. We now consider the SLATOR to be part of our standard company issued safety equipment. As such, each of our crews has at a minimum a SLATOR and a SLATOR-mini. Overall, the guys really liked the concept and are using them in the field.
Thank you for your commitment to the safety of our industry! I wish you the best.

Just used mine (red SLATOR) the other day for the first time on a hip roof, don't know how we have gotten along without it until now!

I am writing you about our recent purchase of your ingenious product The Slator. Our foreman was ecstatic after using it for the first time. His comments were “I wish I had a set 25 years ago”. It has definitely made his job easier and safer. Roofing is a by nature a hazardous profession. I have been in the roofing business for 35 years and it is not too often that a safety product comes along that truly makes the job safer, is easy to work with and the roofers actually like using it. The Slator does all this. Thank you for this product; we will be ordering more for our shingle crews as well.

At Coffey Contracting Co., Inc., we regularly perform steep roof work. Each member of our team is a skilled craftsman of the trade. We specialize in the replacement, repair and maintenance of slate, tile, shakes, shingles and more. The best evidence of a good product or service is a repeat client. I am pleased to say that this is our 4th purchase of SLATORS within the last year. My crews love using them and most recently, we've begun using the SLATOR approved fasteners and like them also!

This note is to congratulate you on your new invention, the SLATOR.
More importantly this will evidence our company's gratitude for your sharing the device at such a reasonable price with those of us performing steep slope repairs and installations. Our Safety Committee met and devoted a couple of hours to examining the device and watching the videos you provided. That committee convinced me that the SLATOR would make our initial set up on each steep job safer; and beyond that to enable them to perform their tasks on steep slope roofs both more safely and more comfortably. That has proven to be the case on those jobs where we have used the SLATOR. We have found that we can get to the ridge to install our anchors there much more safely even as we start each steep job.
In my roofing career of over forty years, I have never seen such a simple, yet ingenious low-cost product which saves us money on our labor costs while enabling us to perform our work much more safely at the same time. Thank you very much.

Bob Rudd www.mountainslate.com : After 40 years of slating ,not quite long in the tooth yet, but do appreciate when a product comes along that makes my day a bit easier. Just off a job where normally it would be 4 slaters brackets and 2 planks carried up and down a 36 footer. I used one slator and a roof ladder saving me time and energy. I have some interesting work coming up that I will be using them on. I will send photographs. Regards, Bob Ruddy y of
Bryan, Nick and Ronny, of Blue Glass, LLC: "We've been using the SLATOR since January 2014 and it has helped us move quickly and easily across the roofs to get to the broken slate. Ladder hooks won't work on "hip" roofs and its important for us to have fall protection! We hardly ever use slate brackets anymore."
Ronny: Nick and I were able to replace 9 broken slate, on 3 different roof surfaces, 2 stories high, on a hip roof using SLATOR and the stainless steel slate hook method, ...in just over 2 hours. No more leaks. Our client was thrilled!

This is the type of simple and inexpensive anchorage system that is needed by commercial roofers and framers. This takes the excuses away for not having a method to tie off or not being able to afford a safe system.
It's great to see a design by roofers for roofers taking into consideration the pricing constraints that comes with being a residential roofer.

I recently saw and have had a chance to demonstrate a new product that helps prevent falls from a roof, the Slator roof bracket. I believe this device will change the way roofers work. I believe it will keep them safer on the job. The Slator Bracket meets all the criteria of a good safety product. It's is easy to use, durable and provides worker protection. The Slator Bracket meets ANSI approval and is OSHA compliant.
I am incorporating this dynamic new device into my OSHA Fall Protection training and adding it to my training manuals. If you have any questions you may call me at 434-528-1001 or email me at fgoodwin@themidstategroup.com.
Frank Good win of The Midstate Group: Workplace s afe ty has been my vocation for over 40 years. I have done and still do worker safety training in many different industries, corporate safety inspections, consultations and I compile and edit safety programs and policies. In my 40 years of e xperien ce I have seen and used many different safety products and have seen many improvements in safety gear.
Professional Chimney Sweep:
Brent (Chimney Sweep, Lynchburg, VA): "Got to use one of these recently and was amazed how well it worked! I have been working on difficult roofs for 35 years and have had to do some insane and not so safe things to gain access when a ridge hook was not an option. Anyone that has to work on rooftops needs a few of these on their truck."
Homeowner:
Sean (new homeowner in Lynchburg, VA): "The first thing my home inspector told me after purchasing a home with a slate roof is that "Most roofing contractors without specific slate experience will cause more damage on your roof than benefits." A friend then recommended Blueglass, LLC and after I met the guys and they showed me the tools and techniques they use...especially SLATOR, I knew I'd found the only people I want on my slate roof! Not only did they take care of my emergency patching needs, they gave me detailed explanations and photos of the problem areas. If you want it done right, these are your guys." Thank you Sean! We pick our mentors carefully, and Joseph Jenkin's, "The Slate Roof Bible", is our favorite book and constant guide! Ronny, Gen. Mgr. BlueGlass, LLC.
