Copper photos above are courtesy of Ross Lavallee (Montafon Metal Inc.) of work in the Boston area.  His clients love the details.
Big thanks to  John Sheridan of Sheridan Metal Resources, and Orion Jenkins of Jenkins Slate Masters, Inc.  and Ray Haas of Haas Stone and Steel for generously and regularly sharing their knowledge through social media and training sessions.  John's, Orion's and Ray's input helped us design this jig to be small, simple, durable and multifunctional (template, scribe, and anvil).
If everyone uses the same jig, all the details should look the same.  The job below is VMZinc.

WHEN SOMEONE FALLS ...
FOOTER FACTS:
No. 1 cause of insurance claims on buildings is wind, hail and water damage; accounting for 40% of all claims.

Insurance adjusters say 60% of their claims involve walking on roofs.

No. 1 cause of death and injury in the construction industry is FALLS and fatal workplace incidents average $1.5 million in direct and indirect economic costs.

No. 1 citation issued by OSHA is Lack of Fall Protection.

No. 2 cause for workers compensation claims is contusions and the average cost of a medically consulted workplace injury is $48,000.

People will be on your building's roof ... again, and again, and again.

Falls are costly, predictable, and preventable with the proper anchors, gear, and training.
