The access hatch (in the video above) will be used by the client to get onto his roof and clean his gutters.  We installed it (from the safety of the attic) prior to beginning his roof replacement.  This is a 2 - 3 story Victorian home on a steep lot ... shaded by large oak trees.  We installed 5 strategically located permanent anchors so that each spot on the roof can be reached safely while maintaining a tight rope and keeping his anchor point above him.  Rope skills and good gear are definitely required to do this work safely.

We installed the access hatch (shown below) from the safety of the attic on this 3 story school building.  This eliminates the need for a lift or scaffolding to access this area safely.  Once installed, we used it to make slate repairs.
