These existing horizontal lifeline systems are being removed (because they simply cannot successfully transfer forces to the structure without the structure failing). (23) V-18 permanent ridge anchors are being installed prior to the roof restoration work beginning on this dormitory.

We installed this V-18 at the beginning of this extensive repair project. This home will get another V-18 in the middle and one near the far away chimney. Wood blocking will be added between the rafters adjacent to the anchor location.
